Dr. Adam Borison, an internationally recognized energy consultant, has applied advanced analytic methods to strategy, valuation, operations, and risk in power and fuels for more than 25 years. He has led engagements in investment evaluation, performance improvement, corporate M&A, ERM, project planning and management, product pricing and design, capital allocation, and government policy and regulation. He has submitted expert testimony in arbitration, litigation, and regulatory settings in the US and abroad.

Dr. Borison advised a major international energy company on its pipeline gas/power business strategy in the US Midwest, supported utility resource planning involving tens of billions in dollars of generation and transmission facilities in Canada, and evaluated on-grid, micro-grid, and off-grid renewable energy developments for multilateral banks and Caribbean governments.

Jo Edghill is a co-Founder and Director of Megapower Ltd. in Barbados. Jo lived overseas for 10 years working on a range of rural development initiatives in Asia and the South Pacific, including a European Union funded democratic governance project in Papua New Guinea, before returning to Barbados in October 2011.

Jo recognised a distinct market opportunity, for electrified transport, powered by renewables, and jointly formed Megapower Ltd. in February 2013. Megapower’s vision is for a network of publicly accessible charging stations, powered by renewable resources, enabling the rapid uptake of electric vehicles in Barbados and the Caribbean.

Megapower is now seen as the Caribbean’s leading Electric Vehicle Specialist Garage, currently working in 8 Caribbean countries.

James Taylor is a motorsports executive at Extreme E, a pioneering new series set to revolutionise motorsport. Extreme E’s mission is to showcase electric SUV performance in extreme conditions, whilst encouraging global action to combat the devastating environmental issues threatening our planet’s future.

The series will provide a competitive platform for accelerating the development of electric vehicles to help create a low – carbon future, whilst also partnering with organisations in the race locations to help restore the degraded environments as part of the Extreme E legacy programme.

James has extensive experience in creating and promoting new sports and entertainment businesses, having worked for IMG to establish and develop a number of its major motorsports, cricket, football and mass participation properties. James was part of the IMG team who founded the Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 cricket tournament.

Prior to joining Extreme E James was Vice President of the FIA World Rallycross Championship.

Stephen Mariani is an Energy Resource Analyst in the Resource Planning group at Alameda Municipal Power (AMP). AMP is an electric utility owned by the city of Alameda, which is located on an island spanning 22 miles in the San Francisco Bay Area. The resource planning group has a broad scope of responsibilities from ratemaking, forecasting load, and evaluating resource needs, to meeting AMP’s compliance obligations (e.g. California’s Cap & Trade program, Renewable Portfolio Standards, and Low Carbon Fuel Standard program). Currently, Stephen is working on the rollout of a new time-of-use rate pilot for electric vehicle owners. Prior to AMP, Stephen worked as a consultant in the demand side management space for investor-owned utilities across the U.S. and as an intern for an electricity markets consulting firm for independent system operators in the U.S. and Canada. Stephen has a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts.
