In alignment with the UN World Oceans Day 2022 theme; “Revitalization: Collective Action for the Oceans” and the Tulum Declaration, we commemorate the Mesoamerican Reef Anniversary and its Advocacy.
The signing takes place 9 years after the leaders of the same countries signed, on June 5, 1997, the “Mesoamerican Caribbean Reef Systems Initiative”, known as the “Tulum Declaration.”
